7 Reasons Not to Have Sex

You’ve probably heard a lot about sex. By now you know how it’s done and the consequences of it. Your friends have even probably given you many reasons why you should do it.

But has anyone given you reasons why you shouldn’t? Here’s my top 10 list of reasons not to have sex.

1. You want to see what it’s like

Sex isn’t a game or a random food. With some things, it’s easy to try without having any consequences. Sex isn’t one of them.

Along with sex comes its consequences and you need to ask yourself whether or not you’re ready to face them. If you’re not sure, then don’t do it.

2. I think I’m ready

If you “think” you’re ready to have sex, then think again. If you think you may be ready, then you’re not. You need to be 100 percent sure that you’re ready to take that leap and not have any doubts.

3. No glove, no love

If you don’t have protection, then you’re not ready to do the adult thing, I don’t care what anyone says. You always need to practice safe sex.

If you think you don’t need protection, then you may as well not have sex for the rest of your life. Even though condoms aren’t a 100 percent safety net for anything, it will at least help prevent STD’s.

4. STD’s don’t discriminate

These are what you can catch if you don’t follow the reason above. STD’s aren’t prejudice and they will befriend anyone they catch slipping.

Are they curable? Sure, some of them are. But ones like Herpes and AIDS/HIV aren’t. Just remember before you take that leap onto that couch, bed or back seat of a minivan, that STD’s are right around the corner, if you’re not careful.

5. My partner says if I love them I will do it

Now if this isn’t the dumbest reason to have sex, I don’t know what is. I’m sorry, but if you’re partner is basing your love off of sex, then they don’t love you.

6. That little bundle of joy

Children are a blessing, however, I wouldn’t be so quick to want one now if I were you. I mean you really want to have to tell your parents you are pregnant?

Babies are a lot of work. You have to feed them, change them and keep one hundred eyes on them at all times. Are you sure you’re up for that type of responsibility?

I mean be honest. Don’t you have enough trouble getting to school on time, doing homework and keeping up with your own tasks? Exactly.

Just ask your parents what it was like raising you. They might try to sugar coat it and say that you were the best baby and you may have been. But also ask them how hard the work was. You might be surprised.

7. Your reputation is on the line

I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but having sex with multiple partners isn’t necessarily the best way to get popular.

The ladies are known as wh**** and guys are known as dogs. Either way, no one will want to have sex with you.

Have some respect for yourself. If you’re going to have sex, limit yourself to one partner. This isn’t a race and there’s certainly no award for sleeping with the most people.

This sex thing is over rated and you have plenty of time in your life to do it. There’s nothing in any book that says that you have to get it all out of your system right now.

In the end, if you decide to have sex, please be safe.
