If you’ve ever wanted a chance to catch all of your favorite bands all at once, then you’re in luck. The Vans Warped Tour provides you with just that. What’s the Vans Warp Tour? What, were you born in the 80’s?
Well, let me catch you up. It’s basically a touring music, extreme sports festival. The tour is usually held in parking lots or fields in which they set up stages. It was created back in 1994 by Kevin Lyman, who got the idea while working on skateboarding shows.
The skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans, as well as others, has sponsored the tour every year since 1995, hence the name Vans Warped Tour.
The tour actually started out as a showcase for punk rock music, but its more recent acts have featured a diversity of genres.
The Vans Warped Tour has featured as many as 100 bands per show as of the mid 2000s. The bands typically start at 11:00am and end around 9:00pm. That’s plenty of time to groove to your favorite songs.
Let me give you an idea of who you can possible groove to…Young London You Me At Six We Are the Ocean We the Kings Vanna Vendetta Red Twin Atlantic Transit The Used They All Float Sleepwalker Neo Geo
