Hi Summer,

Well for starters, you’re not a wh***. It sounds like your ex wants the best of both worlds, but I know you’re smarter than that. Here’s what you did wrong. YOU HAD SEX!!! You’re way too young for that. You two had sex and then he cheated on you. Forget about him.

Don’t be his hug buddy or kissing buddy. He’s using you it sounds like. If he cheated on you once, he’ll probably do it again. Don’t give him the satisfaction. On top of that, you’re still a minor and in some states it’s illegal for you two to any type of sexual relationship.

Telling your parents you’re having sex is a big step and I commend you for even thinking about it. This is something that every parent should know about their child. This way they can take the necessary steps in helping you along the way. Will it be difficult? Yes. Will they be upset? Probably. But you shouldn’t hide it. You don’t want that type of pressure hanging over your shoulders.

So yes. Tell your parents. They have a right to know. On top of that, forget about your ex. If you think you two can remain friends, then that’s fine (I wouldn’t), but I wouldn’t be anything other than that.

Don’t let him take advantage of you. Oh yea, and never have sex because someone pressures you. If they have to pressure you into doing something you don’t want to do, then they don’t care about you.

Good Luck 🙂
